UNSW wanted to create an engaging, informative site that would set Media @ UNSW courses apart from other less creative course offerings to attract the attention of prospective international arts and media students,
Given major time and budget restraints, we leveraged the Tumblr blogging platform to provide a content management and social media feature set without the cost of backend coding. The resulting site provides a simple “at a glance” overview of the courses on offer, and enables forms of dialogue between the students and agents to ensure media @ UNSW remains “top of mind” during the long decision making cycle.
Tumblr’s easy to use content tools and rich media support mean that student work is well presented and the project delivered far more than the budget would have allowed using traditional techniques. The site features an impressive brand designed by Digital Eskimo that reflects the multi-media nature of the courses on offer.
