We developed ‘BobCasts’ for Bob Brown’s team, who were exploring the potential of online technologies to strengthen the Greens campaign work and were looking for inspiration.
Digital Eskimo headed south for a one day workshop which ultimately delivered a world first concept for the Greens; mobile phone podcasts we affectionately dubbed ‘BobCasts’. We made it possible for Bob to ‘dial up’ his website via his mobile phone leaving a personal voicemail style message.
The BobCasts were then displayed on the Tasmanian Greens home page with an option for supporters to subscribe to receive messages direct to a computer or portable audio devices such as an iPod. The BobCasts have been a huge hit with their personal, authentic style and short punchy format. Senator Brown’s site traffic doubled since the BobCasts appeared.
