Sustainable Leaders Circle

Sustainable networking hub, A&NZ Sustain, needed to update its brand strategy to reflect the network’s expanding aspirations in the region.

The Australia & New Zealand Sustainability Circle (A&NZ Sustain) connects both business and government to sustainability providing a forum for corporate enterprise and government departments, NGOs, entrepreneurs and influencers to network with peers and share ideas.

Although the organisation had attracted a strong following in the business community since inception in 2009, the team aspired to shift A&NZ Sustain from its initial beta presence to become firmly established as the market’s premier corporate sustainability network. An initial review of A&NZ Sustain’s corporate brand highlighted the need to refresh the existing identity in order to be clearly de-delineate its offering in the busy corporate networking space.

Early on in the project, A&NZ Sustain highlighted the need to change their name to reflect the network’s change in focus from primarily Australia and New Zealand to also encompass the greater Asian region. We provided consultation and advice to the company during this process to ensure that the chosen name achieved this objective.

Under the title “Sustainable Leaders Circle”, we rebranded A&NZ Sustain to reflect the organisation’s new direction. The circle logo mark represents the inclusive network with the slot representing openness to change, optimistic direction and leadership. The circle can be interlocked with other circles forming new structures, the essence of collaboration and networking.

The brand is colour is white, in essence holding all all colours within it, representing the diversity of the organisation (and presenting a challenge for stationery which we resolved with a classic eco-friendly emboss for the circle). The four sectors of focus for the SLC are presented via a different  colour palette. Black (Government), Navy blue (Corporate), Red (NGO), Olive (Sustainability).

Shortly after the project was completed, a strategic decision was made for SLC to be formally incorporated into it’s parent organisation – the Trans-Tasman Business Circle.
