Your Rights At Work

This website was the hub of the ACTU’s campaign against the unpopular WorkChoices legislation.

Our team designed the Your Rights At Work site with an emphasis on informing workers and inspiring specific targeted action. A powerful email engine allowed the ACTU to orchestrate sophisticated campaigning to a member base of over 150,000 people.

The campaign had many successes with the Senate Inquiry Submission Campaign prompting a record 5,000 submissions in less than five days. Another campaign gathered in excess of 85,000 signatures urging Barnaby Joyce to cross the floor, resulting in front pages in National newspapers. The campaign has additionally raised in excess of $100,000 for the ACTU.

Your Rights at Work also won a number of awards, voted as the best union website by individual union members across the country in the Labour Website of the Year competition for 2008, and was one of The Top 10 Who Are Changing the World of Internet and Politics from PoliticsOnline and World E-Gov Forum, which recognises the top 10 individuals, organizations and companies having the greatest impact on the way the Internet is changing politics.
