Agents of change on Radio National

ABC Radio

Tune in to ABC Radio National’s ‘By Design’ show next week to hear our company principal David Gravina talking to host Alan Saunders about the groundbreaking Change Agent project that we’ll be launching with the CIIC over the coming year. He’ll also talk through some of the thinking behind the installation that we recently presented at Object Gallery as part of the STATE. RESPOND exhibition.

By Design explores the power of design to shape our world, making it the perfect conversation point for the project. Through discussions with industry experts, the program reflects on the creative processes influencing all aspects of our environments, from the way things look, feel and function, to the decisions we make as consumers of architecture and everyday objects.

The show airs at 3pm on 576AM next Wednesday 31st March.

After 7 weeks at the gallery, STATE. RESPOND’s is due to close tomorrow. So for those of you who haven’t already, make sure you check out the Agents of Change project at Object this weekend.

I was listening to “by design” this afternoon and are interested in the sharing of information about sustainable materials – specifically those used in furniture design. Does the agent of change project accomadate this somehow?

Dave Gravina says:

Hi Nick,

This isn’t really where the Agents of Change project is focussed however there are some great resources such as http://www.ecospecifier.org that you might try.

Also i suggest you contact Marc Schamburg from Schamburg + Alvisse, co-exhibitors in the State.Respond exhibition.

You can find out more about them here.. http://www.schamburgalvisse.com.au/
