November greenUps coincided with the “race that stops a nation”, so we figured we might as well have fun with it.
The greenUps crew met on Tuesday at the lovely Victoria Room, one of Sydney’s most popular cocktail bar restaurants. A British Raj-meets-Rococo fantasyland which makes it’s eco-contribution with the use of energy saving lighting and pre-loved furniture, it was the perfect venue for the event. They even created a cocktail especially for the night, appropriately named “The Local”, made from (narly) all Australian and locally sourced ingredients!
Thanks to everyone who came along – it’s always great to see so many people interested in being part of the environmental and sustainable social scene. A big thank you also to I Ran The Wrong Way, a new eco boutique on 378 Cleveland St, Surry Hills, which donated an awesome eco-hamper full of green goodies valued at $100.
