We’re looking for people who believe in the power of design and technology to change the world.
Digital Eskimo applies our Considered Design method to social, environmental and organisational change problems. We harness the creative potential of design, amplifying it with digital technology in the pursuit of a world where humanity is in harmony with the planet and itself.
At Digital Eskimo we solve problems that matter; from climate change, to design industry change, social change and occasionally even governmental change.
Enough about the planet, what about me?
We have, and always will, care deeply about the impact we have in the world. But just as importantly we care about the impact working at Digital Eskimo has on our people. That’s why we have gone to great lengths to ensure a healthy, open plan studio, its the reason we provide plenty of free organic food and company bikes for our staff – and critically, it’s why we keep working hours to a sensible maximum (of around 40 hours per week) and offer a formal day in lieu policy to handle the occasional peak periods.
Healthy happy people are productive people, and of course this all helps our bottom line. But the real bottom line is the personal satisfaction you gain from your work and knowing that you’re constantly learning and developing your own skills and knowledge – even as you change the world.
To this end we offer individually designed staff development programmes which include loads of internal (formal and ad hoc) training in our Considered Design method, a budget for external training and conferences for senior staff. Once a month you’ll have a one-on-one with Duncan Underwood, our Director of HR who is responsible for ensuring you are on track and happy with your progress.
A few more reasons to join us …
You’re mad about cycling – we even have a bike repair shop in the garage! You dig picnics in the park and drinking fair trade coffee (from a cafe-class coffee machine). You love working on challenging projects that marry human and technology factors in interesting ways. You believe that we should all do our bit for the environment, and then some. And at the end of the day you’re happy to save the world but you want to have a damn good time doing it.
Even if we’re not hiring for a role you’d suit right now, we always love to hear from talented people because things change all the time, so don’t hesitate to contact us anyway.
