Design Thinking

We believe that Design Thinking has much to offer all areas of human endeavour as we tackle the great challenges (and harness the unprecedented opportunities!) of our times.

Design Thinking is in essence an approach to solving problems. It embodies an ethos that values questioning, collaboration, creativity and learning through trial and error. It’s about putting people at the centre of the process and using a range of methods and supporting processes that deliver the most appropriate solutions for a given context. It embraces uncertainty and is designed to encourage change and constant improvement, making it ideal for complex systems and the rapidly altering world around us.

And it’s not just for designers. Everyone from presidents to town planners should be applying Design Thinking as we re-design and recreate the very foundations of our societies.
